Some headquarters (HQ) providing goods or services to their clients in China do so directly instead of through their wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE) in China. This can be for a variety reasons, such as business strategy or WFOE business scope limitations.
To avoid the hassle of paying foreign currency to the headquarters, clients in China may offer to pay the WFOE in RMB instead. To read more click here
